An outstanding display of horse husbandry from our great mate, Newcastle trainer JASON DEAMER and a superb 11 out of 10 ride by jet pilot BEN LOOKER, has seen our Dynamic Galloper JUSTIFABLY improve his race career resume when he made it two in a row to claim a tough win over 10 furlongs (2000m) on a bottomless Heavy 10 at Taree on Tuesday afternoon.
It’s been an incredible feat when we analyse the achievement.
Our beautifully bred 4yo is by Kentucky Derby winner JUSTIFY from the Dynamic Syndications magical mare SAVAPINSKI who Team Dynamic won the Gr2 Matriarch Stakes over 2000m at Flemington. So, he’s bred to stick like chewing gum to a blanket therefore running the trip was not our concern but rather was he hard enough second up from a spell?
The state of the track was going to be extremely testing, and whilst we believed he would handle the mud, it’s not until they are truly tested it remains a debatable view.
In one of the best displays of training, Jason Deamer has been able to get our horse fit enough to win in these trying conditions. JUSTIFIABLY only had one barrier trial over 920m on a Heavy 10 track at Newcastle before returning to the sport as an 8 start Maiden.
We took him up the line to win his Maiden at Port Macquarie first-up, where he got the chocolates over 1509m on the 19th April on a Good 4.
Just over 3 weeks later he was back at the sport on this Heavy 10 bog.
He displayed great heart, desire and will-to-win attitude after hitting the front early in the straight.

Ben had taken-off from the 750m believing it would turn into a slug fest and he was right.

That was the winning move as it took our horse from 8 lengths off the leader to being a head in front as the field thundered around the home turn.

JUSTIFIABLY (and Ben) were running on fumes over the final 100m as the field came at them.

In a great 4-way tussle to the line, Ben drove JUSTIFIABLY forward and our gallant crusader dug deep to fend off his foes and bank a lovely cheque of $19,575 for his owners.

When the camera flashed in these dark and gloomy conditions with heavy rain cascading down, JUSTIFIABLY had recorded a 0.19 length (Head) winning margin over the runner up with just 0.12 length (Half-Head) back to third.

There were no excuses the beaten brigade. Our horse was back and wide and wider still when four deep down the side and wider again on the turn. He was just second-up and didn’t have that tough foundation fitness but there is that one thing he did have and that was the intangible asset of courage.
JOB DONE!
Congratulations to JASON DEAMER on this feat.
JUSTIFIABLY had three duck-eggs to start his career and since then over his next 7 starts he has recorded 2-3-2.
BEN LOOKER returned to the Winner’s Circle and then recorded a message to our Owners:

Jockey Ben Looker reported in with the owners saying:

“Congratulations guys! He was good. he landed in a nice spot mid-field. Ideally, I would have liked to have been a pair further forward, but I was just going to be posted 3-wide, so I elected to come back and get into one off position and travelled well but approaching the 700m I just wanted to make sure I was out on my bike and putting him into the race.
"Last preparation I probably made the mistake of trying to ride him too pretty, so I just got on my bike coming to the corner. And to his credit, Jase (Jason Deamer) deserves a good pat on the back, because he's found that fine line of getting fit enough, without having him too dour. When they kicked back, he was down for the fight, and he's going good.”
Congratulations to the terrific Ownership Team that race JUSTIFIABLY: Dynamic Syndications Racing, Mr A M Parish, Mrs T E Parish, Mr E Fuller, Simon's Legacy, Mr A Mitchell, Mr J Naumovski, Mr R B McKay, Mr I J Middleton, Mr D L Wilton, Mr A H Webster, Mr S P Loane, Mr S F Duggan, EST P Bray, Fitch Racing, Mr G J Lang, Dynamic No 139, Mr C McMahon, H O W D Racing
