Dynamic Syndications / Dean Watt Bloodstock are thrilled to announce the purchase of Lot 223 — a stunning Chestnut Filly by boom first season sire FARNAN from the mare GLOBAL SANCTION (by Sebring) — at Sunday’s Inglis HTBA Yearling Sale (27 April) at Riverside.
Offered by Kingstar Farm, this athletic filly immediately caught our eye and after careful inspection, vetting and due diligence, we were determined she would be heading into our stable if the price was right!

We thought she would be in our price range when we found the vendor had a $20,000 reserve on the filly to ensure they were seen to be meeting the market.
We had engineered the bidding to land at on $20,000 but were countered at $25,000 we went to $27,500 and then the hammer fell. We had purchased the filly for $27,500 + GST. That is half the 2022 conception year service fee!
STOP PRESS! Announced on Monday 28 April from Kia Ora Stud the home of FARNAN was they have increased his Service Fee to $77,000 inc GST for the 2025 Breeding Season (up from $55,000 on previous years) based on the sire's fantastic early success.

The benefit here to us was the vendor is a shareholder in the sire FARNAN, so to Kingstar Farm it was about cashflow and moving the filly on to make room for their following crop coming through.
