The 2026 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale at the Inglis Riverside Complex at Warwick Farm, kicked off at 10:00am on Sunday the 8th February and the FIRST LOT into the Salering was a fantastic filly by Champion racehorse and Sire DUNDEEL from the brilliantly bred USA mare FAIROUZ (USA), a daughter of one of the best sires on the planet in DUBAWI.

Lot 1 found a new home when she was knocked down to the bid of $80,000 + GST to Adam Watt from DYNAMIC SYNDICATIONS.

We had highlighted this filly as a high interest lot for inspection, based upon her sensational genetics and highly commercial pedigree.

She is bred to win Classics and Cups from 1600m to 2400m as a 3yo and 4yo

and to help us achieve this, the filly will be trained by CIARON MAHER.

Arrowfield Stud in a Foal Share agreement with the US based breeding partnership Dillion Ventures LLC, offered the filly who had been purposely bred to produce a genetically superior individual, and the filly’s looks match her strong commercial page.
As a Foal Share, she needed to be sold, and we are delighted to walk away with such a wonderful equine opportunity to achieve elite racetrack success.
Doing our mating analysis, we ranked this filly as the highest rated genetic pedigree in the catalogue, but we had to be on our toes to ensure LOT 1 became Dynamic.
What we were acutely aware of, was this has already proven to be a sensational cross!
It’s almost freakish how the genetics of sire line over broodmare sireline works on the racetrack.
This exact cross of DUNDEEL over a daughter of DUBAWI is sensational.
FACT: There have been just 3 horses bred this way that have raced.
All three are Winners – but wait, there’s more!
Two of the Three are Gr1 horses!
That’s 66.6% Gr1 Horses to Runners

First is MILITARIZE – Winner of 4 races including 3 x Gr1 races: 24-4:3:4 Prizemoney: $3,096,550, inc Inglis Sires' (G1), Golden Rose (G1), Champagne Stks (G1)
The second - TOWNSEND (2 wins) 14 starts, 2 - 2 - 4 & $316,125 Including 4 x stakes placed: 3rd - 2023 ATC Champagne Stks (Gr.1); 2024 Summer Cup (Gr.3); 2024 ATC Cup (LR); 2023 Fernhill (LR);
The third - DUNWITHYA (1 win) 5 starts
Whilst Sons of DUNDEEL over Sons of DUBAWI is also incredible, producing a further three (3) Stakes Winners:
MILITARIZE 2020 C G1 DUNDEEL ex AMERINDIA (DUBAWI)

MAISON LOUIS 2021 C G1 SUPER SETH ex COTE D'OR (MAKFI)

VERONA ROSE 2021 F G3 CASTELVECCHIO ex MINAMYA (MAKFI)

RUSKA ROMA 2022 F LR SUPER SETH ex SANSA (MAKFI)
Sadler’s Wells, the sire of High Chaparral, who’s the sire of DUNDEEL over Dubawi line mares multiplies out to producing a massive 54 Stakes Winners including 8 Gr1 Winners.
So, the genetics opportunity is strong that an above average race prospect will be produced when bred this way.
Whilst genetics is a vital component for the recipe of success, it’s far from the only necessity to be considered in yearling selection.
Other areas of importance include:
PART 1
From a pedigree perspective, we look at the performance of the sire as a racehorse and DUNDEEL was a true Champion of his generation. The Champion 3YO, the six-time Group 1 winner & weight-for-age superstar of Australia.

Champion 3YO in NZ in 2012-13.
Champion Middle Distance Male in Australia & NZ in 2013-14.
PART 2
Next, we look at the success of the sire in the breeding barn. Again, DUNDEEL is doing a top job. Standing at a Service Fee of $88,000 he is the sire of: 9 Group 1 winners, including Gr1 sires Castelvecchio & SuperSeth, Celestial Legend, Militarize and 3YO filly Femminile.
Group 1 Winners 9 / Stakes Winners 39 / Stakes Performers 69

Notably, 8 of his 12 SW since 19 October 2024 are fillies!
In the sale ring at the Magic Millions in 2026, 10 yearlings by him sold for an average of $252,000.
DUNDEEL is a son of HIGH CHAPARRAL - Champion 3YO Colt in GB & Ireland in 2002 (Long). Champion Turf Male in USA in 2002 & 2003.

Champion Sire in Czech Republic in 2014.
Sire of 1782 progeny to race, 1156 winners (64.0%), earnings of over $165 million, 135 stakes winners, 72 stakes placegetters.
PART 3
Our next aspect - we must look at is the Broodmare sire and DUBAWI is at the top of pops.
1153 Winners / 3386 Wins / 193 Stakes Horses / 103 (58) Stakes Winners / 210 (105) Stakes Wins / $176,099,465 Earnings / 10 Gr1 Winners.
PART 4
Next ….. We target buying progeny from elite thoroughbred nurseries and they don’t come any better than Arrowfield.
Over the past 10 years Arrowfield are the vendors of: 47 Gr1 Wins and 225 Stakes Winners.
PART 5
Having ticked off on all our KPI’s on the paper side of the yearling, we progress to the individual itself.
When we first laid eyes on this filly, we were quick to place her on our Top Prospects list.
We then re-inspected the filly the following day to ensure we hadn’t missed any conformational defect that may increase the risk of injury or lack of performance. This filly survived round two.
PART 6
Then we come back with our veterinarian Dr Tim Roberts for him to perform the necessary due diligence aspects of a full veterinary examination, and once that physical has been completed, we progress to endoscopic review and X-rays. It takes a quality yearling to survive these rounds of inspections to be passed as suitable to bid upon.
PART 7
Next …. Once we have been given the all clear to proceed to bid, that’s when we do the further due diligence work in determining their correct market value.
Dean Watt from Dynamic Syndications is a licensed commercial agent and is renowned as an expert in this field. We value each yearling that passes inspection based upon factors such as:
(1) Past three years sales Average and Median,
(2) Service Fee at year of conception of the yearling, and current Service Fee.
(3) Comparison of Sales of yearlings by the sire for each sex over the past three years. For new or young sires, a multiple of service fee formula is applied.
(4) The commercial appeal of the female family based upon: Black Type saturation of the page, performances of any siblings, performance of the Dam, close relations to the Dam, and the breeding genetics combination the breeder introduced to create the yearling.
(5) General economic and political conditions, current interest rates and other economic or political factors.
Amongst all of the above data, a formula is applied to provide a true market appraisal of the current value of the yearling. Team Dynamic use that as our ceiling price for the salering battle.
We never pay overs for any yearling no matter how much we love the individual because at the end of the day it’s a business and we are always looking for returns on investment for our owners and potential residual value.
This DUNDEEL x FAIROUZ (USA) filly hit each KPI and that is incredibly rare.

She became a MUST BUY target.
We valued the filly in this current market based upon last years Classic Sale Average of $93,960 and Median of $70,000 and the comparative sales of DUNDEEL progeny in 2026, the Service Fee of $88,000, the quality of the filly as an athlete with a magnificent genetic balance matching the commercial appeal and clean X-rays and scope. Then we discounted the price because we knew it was a Foal Share and had to meet the market so would not have a high reserve placed upon her.
Applying our formula, we felt she was worth chasing. We considered in this Classic Sale she was a 2-times service fee ($160,000) yearling but knowing that she was a foal share, she would be terrific buying at $120,000 + GST which was a 1.5 times Service Fee. At that price point it stands to cover service fee and holding / production costs to a break even.
We knew we were in a strong position, when we approached Arrowfield for their reserve and we were delightfully surprised that was $80,000.
We tactically made sure we landed on the $80,000 bid, expecting her to go beyond her reserve, which would have placed us on at both $100,000 and $120,000, which we felt was her fair ceiling price.
So, when the hammer fell on our bid of $80,000 + GST, the 2026 Inglis Classic was off to a Dynamic start.
We have done the hard work and purchased a fabulous filly with all the “bells and whistles.”
We have used analytical data, science, horse husbandry and management skills, along with well-known working relationships, to secure the best filly we could find at a price that to us is a 33% discount to our opinion of her true commercial value.
This is a filly for those who want a racing prospect at an elite level, and a high opportunity to have a desirable broodmare for stud duties when her racing days conclude.
Every aspect of purchasing this filly has been thought through to increase the opportunity of success for our owners.
Add in the fact we have had a lot of success with daughters of DUNDEEL with fillies like
IT’S A KNOCKOUT and
SPACEBALLS proudly wearing our silks to success.
We are of the opinion that this filly has a higher propensity to achieve than any other filly we have seen by the sire over the past two years.
Your invited to join us racing this DUNDEEL x FAIROUZ (USA) filly being trained by CIARON MAHER.
