Following on from our story on the 9th June about
two exciting First Crop Sires in the Northern Hemisphere AIR FORCE BLUE (USA) (Coolmore) and SHALAA (IRE) (Arrowfield) both getting off to a flying start in the first few weeks of the 2yo season north of the equator, in January this year at the Magic Millions, Dynamic Syndications predicted both stallions may make an immediate impact as sires so we targeted and purchased a yearling filly by each of these exciting stallion prospects.

The hype on
AIR FORCE BLUE (USA) and SHALAA (IRE) in Europe and the United States is high and we have every reason to believe the boy’s immediate success north of the equator, can be replicated here in the Southern Hemisphere,
especially if our two fillies are any indication.
We are thrilled with the reports we have received about what our girls have shown progressing through our systems to date.

When one of Australia’s leading equestrian riders,
SHANE ROSE – who rides for Australia at the Olympics, tells us they are doing everything right and he is happy with them, we are naturally quite upbeat.
Both our fillies were purchased with 2yo racing in mind but mainly with a view they are going to be better 3yo’s as they mature.
However, we are now reassessing our original views because both fillies are such precocious types, having taken to their sire’s side of the pedigree page.
Both AIR FORCE BLUE (USA) and SHALAA (IRE) were Champion 2yo’s in 2015 in the Northern Hemisphere.

AIR FORCE BLUE
Air Force Blue was champion European 2yo and in 2015 was rated by some way Timeform’s best two-year-old with a rating of 128p, ahead of the filly Songbird (125p) and Shalaa (123p). This made him the highest rated juvenile in Europe for nearly 20 years (with the exception of Frankel on 133p).
He drew high praise indeed from the experts of that publication who rated his 3¼ length win in the Dewhurst-Gr.1
“as good as any in the race this century”.
They were not alone in this assessment as
Coolmore’s trainer Aidan O’Brien rated his colt
“the best two year-old he has ever trained. He won the Dewhurst, National Stakes and Phoenix Stakes, all Gr.1 races, the first time since 2001 a juvenile had achieved this feat.”

The top-rated 2YO in England and France in 2015. A brilliant 2YO, SHALAA was the Winner of the Gr1 Newmarket Middle Park Stakes and the Gr1 Deauville Prix Morny at 2. He was crowned champion 2yo in England and France.
Following his Gr1 Middle Park Stakes win, Jockey Frankie Dettori said,
"He's got tremendous speed and he is the fastest two-year-old I've ridden. I haven't met a horse fast enough to lead him."
Shalaa’s champion trainer John Gosden echoed Dettori’s assessment.
“He's very, very fast - the fastest two-year-old I've trained. He has so much speed and has that sprinter's build, so he reminds us all of Oasis Dream…He’s of that mould."

BIMBADEEN PARK and captured both these fillies in action as they continue with their foundation fitness and education ahead of the upcoming 2yo season.
Both girls have
wowed us with their growth, development and their easy attitude.
They have the size, strength and mental maturity to continue their upward development towards the two-year-old trials in September.
