Dynamic Syndications and Newcastle horseman JASON DEAMER delivered another masterclass of horse husbandry and
management on Saturday at Newcastle, when our 4yo gelding PICCADERRO (Pierro
x Piccadillies) recorded his fourth (4th) win from eight (8) starts this
preparation with a demolition job of his peers in Race 8, the JAG
DATA & POWER Provincial Benchmark 68 Hcp over 1600m, carrying a 1st
prize cheque of $21,000.

Yet again, PICCADERRO
was presented in fantastic order to the sport, and he was a clear standout in
the pre-race parade.
Team
Dynamic were bullish
in his opportunity for success in this race, and thanks to a terrific ride by
in form jet pilot Kegan Latham, the
Owners have another photo to hang on the wall.
As the
gates crashed back Piccaderro was out of the machines brilliantly and
was disputing the lead for the first 100m.
Passing the
1200m Kegan had landed Piccaderro perfectly in the one / one.
The race
was unchanged until Kegan elected to pop off heels into the 3 wide line passing the
600m and then moved up on the turn to eyeball the leaders as the field balanced
for the run home.
Passing the
400m at the top of straight, Piccaderro cruised past leaders and
established a length lead.
At the 200m,
Piccaderro lengthened to a 2-length lead and was going strongly as the early
leading pair dropped out. This set it up for swoopers down the outside.

The favourite
Unreal Expectation started to extend to give chase at the 150m.
.jpg)
However, over
the last 50m Piccaderro was 2 lengths in front and in no danger.
Kegan was
allowed to just cruise aboard Piccaderro to the post under hands and
heels.

Kegan
Latham was even able to sit up for the photo when the camera flashed.

Piccaderro (57kgs) ($8.50) defeated favourite
Unreal Expectation (55kgs)($3.90 Fav) by 1.33 lengths and Monkhana (58.5kgs)
($5.50) 1.47 lengths third.
The race
broadcaster summed it up: "Piccaderro
let down with a powerful run from the 300m and sprinted clear and has held them
safely at bay."

PICCADERRO has had a terrific campaign
this preparation that is proving he is an iron horse as much as he is an
ATM Machine
for his owners.

This
preparation began with a barrier trial on the 23rd December and this win on
Saturday at Newcastle was his eighth race start of the prep and his fourth
race win.
He has earned $71,900 from his 4 wins
and 1 x 2nd and has picked up
a prize cheque to pay his way on each of his eight races which started with a
