DYNAMIC Buys at INGLIS Classic a Super Son of VANCOUVER for GAI and ADRIAN

10 Feb 19

Team Dynamic have joined forced with both AQUIS FARM and GAI WATERHOUSE and ADRIAN BOTT to secure one of the Best Buys at the 2019 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.

Our New Colt VANCOUVER x DANGLISSA GIRL at the saleyard 10/2/19

Our Colt - VANCOUVER x DANGLISSA GIRL at Aquis Farm prior to coming to the sales

Offered as Lot 239 by AQUIS FARM (as Agent) was this exciting Bay Colt by the GAI WATERHOUSE Trained - Undefeated Champion 2yo and Golden Slipper Winner - VANCOUVER.

The COLT is from the outstanding 2yo Filly DANGLISSA GIRL – a daughter of the GAI WATERHOUSE Trained Gr1 Winner DANGLISSA.

DANGLISSA GIRL is a three-quarter Sister to the GAI WATERHOUSE and ADRIAN BOTT trained dual 2yo Stakes Winner UNITE AND CONQUER.

DANGLISSA GIRL is a half-sister to Redeeming Lass (Dam of the GAI WATERHOUSE and ADRIAN BOTT Trained SWEET REDEMPTION)

DANGLISSA GIRL is also a half-sister to Medussa (Dam of SW EURAYLE and SP ATHENA LASS).

This family has been exceptionally successful for GAI WATERHOUSE and this colt has been deliberately purchased in an attempt to replicate the racetrack rewards already achieved.

VANCOUVER winning the Golden Slipper

Add in the fact that GAI trained the Sire to be a Superstar and claim the Golden Slipper in a brilliant 2yo career, adds further appeal.
This yearling colt is a naturally precocious and athletic individual deliberately purchased to be aimed at the early 2yo races.

With GAI’s knack of training 2yo’s and her fingerprints all over the success of both Sire and Female Family, it was logical that the stable wanted to have this colt in their system.

A terrific individual to look at with size and scope, our latest addition passed a full veterinary inspection with clean x-rays and perfect endoscopic report. He was presented in excellent condition and is very well conformed and possesses a loose, easy flowing action.

We were all very surprised to have been able to purchase this colt for what we considered was well under his true market valuation.

He was a well above average individual and such horses should sell for a minimum of 3 times service fee. On his sire’s current service fee of $49,500 this colt was a true $140,000 - $150,000 individual.

However AQUIS are a terrific operation and meet the market. Unbeknown to us, they had put a two time service fee reserve of $100,000 on the colt. The bidding opened at $30,000 and when Dynamic Syndications bid $100,000 in the salering and our bid wasn’t countered, we had the colt knocked down at a 33% discount to his true worth. This was a genuine yearling sale anomaly.

When the hammer fell, and when auctioneer Peter Heagney announced Dynamic Syndications had purchased the colt, the AQUIS team came over and inquired if were sending the colt to GAI and ADRIAN to be trained. When we confirmed that we would be, they purchased back 10% to be in the colt throughout his racing career, with the view he may turn out to be a genuine stallion prospect.

When Australia’s most progressive thoroughbred nursery wish to be a part of the Team to race a Colt that they bred, it’s a massive endorsement of their belief in the horse.
