That’s now 999 Race Wins for Dynamic Syndications / Dean Watt Bloodstock team, after a masterful display of horsemanship by NASH RAWILLER assisted our promising 3yo gelding AGENT ZERO (SNITZEL from BENITOITE), raced by a terrific DYNAMIC SYNDICATIONS ownership team and trained to the minute by Australia’s Leading Stable CIARON MAHER Racing, scored a tough win at Randwick on Saturday.

It was certainly no surprise to connections that AGENT ZERO lived up to his trackwork and his efforts in his last start victory. That gave him tremendous confidence that converted into another strong, tough and classy win by our Dynamic galloper.

Placed to perfection last start, our Dynamic team snuck him down the highway to Canberra where he lobbed into a set weights Class 1 at a mile. On ratings it was a put in take out event and AGENT ZERO did the rest.

The purpose for that assignment was to give him an easy win and build confidence before heading back to Saturday company with a view of a possible hit and run trip to Queensland on the agenda.

He ticked off that Canberra assignment and arrived into a 3yo Benchmark 72 at Randwick which gives connections a final opportunity for possible Qld Derby hopefuls to build a foundation for the 2400m of the Gr1 Qld Derby.

A decision of heading north would be contemplated after a review of how he performed at Randwick. Winning this event is a significant advantage but how he pulls up over the next 72 hours will decide which way we go.

We came to Randwick for Race 5 the PF CIVIL HANDICAP (1800 METRES). He needed to lump 58.0kgs under Nash Rawiller, and it was always going to be a testing challenge on the rain affected and deteriorating track.

A strong, tough, gelding built like a brick out-house, we anticipated that we would roll forward and lead over the 1800m. However early pressure was applied by horses without the form or class to be competitive. Nash allowed those two horses to cross and that gave us a nice trail on the back of the leaders. Unexpectedly both those runners dropped anchor and crawled in front, packing the field right up and many of those in behind started to over race. This turned the race into a sit and sprint affair.

Coming to the home turn and on straightening, all the jockeys started to establish their runs and Nash steered AGENT ZERO off the heels of the leader to give chase.

At the 300m there were 6 runners across the track, and every runner had its chance.

Passing the 200m marker, it was a race with the favourite and second favourite out wide coming home with full momentum and horses coming up the fence.

You could have thrown a hanky over 4 runners from this point.

Nash gave AGENT ZERO a click-up and asked him to extend where he worked to the lead by a half-length with 100m to run.

Nash kept AGENT ZERO focused and the Dynamic Duo went to the line with the race safely in their keeping.

Despite those chasing having a big pull in the weights, they could not outperform the courage on display from AGENT ZERO.

AGENT ZERO carried 58.0kgs whilst runner-up Angel City only carried 54.0kgs whilst third placed Sunsprite carried just 52.5kgs.
