IBINI Scores Giving DYNAMIC SYNDICATIONS 585 Race Wins and 43rd this Season

19 May 19

Dynamic Syndications galloper IBINI is in the care of leading Scone trainer Brett Cavanough and the horse resumed from a spell at Saturday’s NSW Country TAB meeting held at Mudgee where he was ridden by jet pilot Adrian Layt and carrying 58.0kgs, IBINI led all the way to record a commanding 1.89 lengths win over the Matthew Smith trained Warwick Farm galloper Funky Music with third placed Escebee a further half-length in arrears.

IBINI (a 4yo gelding by Commands x Chaste) won Race 4 on the programme, the Gooree Cellar and Pantry Benchmark 66 Handicap over 1200m in 1:11.72 where he took his race career to:

10 starts: 3 Wins, 2 seconds, 3 thirds and $58,015.

Congratulations to the excellent training performance of Brett Cavanough and his team who had IBINI looking magnificent for his first up assignment over 1200m.

We also had IBINI accepted for a 900m race at Newcastle on the same day where we thought he had a true winning hope however when he drew barrier 10 of 10, we chose to head to Mudgee as we anticipated he could get trapped wide throughout at Newcastle and have to cover too much ground.

The decision paid off nicely when IBINI won with ease at “Royal” Mudgee and picked up the $11,200 for winning plus started at a luxury $3.40 for those that supported him in a field of 8 runners.

IBINI has now had four (4) first up runs, recording 3 wins and a third.

He has won over 1100m, 1200m, 1210m.

Special acknowledgement to our jockey Adrian Layt who we asked to go up from Sydney to Mudgee to ride him for us and Adrian rode IBINI a treat with a well-judged ride that gave nothing else a chance.

Such was his domination over his peers, Adrian was able to ease IBINI down over the final 50 metres in the run to the line.

As anticipated, by the time the field had gone three strides, IBINI was leading with Escebee on the fence trying to match motors.

Adrian wasn’t going to have any of that, so kept pushing IBINI who responded well and by the time they had gone 100m IBINI was a length in front and the field already spread over 6 lengths.

At the 1000m mark IBINI was 2 lengths clear and Adrian was able to release the pressure.

From the 1000m to the 600m IBINI had 2 cheap sectionals as those chasing him didn’t apply any pressure and Adrian was able to rate IBINI perfectly on speed, giving him an easy time.

Leading into the straight, Adrian pushed the go button and IBINI responded putting up a 3 length break over the field at the 200m mark.

With 50m to go none of the field had made any impact on his lead and looking at the big infield screen and seeing he was in no danger, Adrian was able to ride quietly under hands and heels to the post.

IBINI is named after former Socceroo and former Sydney FC player Bernie Ibini and like his goal scoring speedster namesake, IBINI is a winner.
