Arrowfield Stud produced history-making results with the Stud’s Inglis Easter draft at Riverside Stables and the smiles are as equally broad for the results achieved by the progeny of the Stud’s stallions with all other vendors. Overall, 99 (90.8%) of 109 Arrowfield Stud based sire’s progeny sold at Easter for an average of $451,818. It was headed by eight (8) $1 million+ yearlings; 5 by Snitzel, 2 by Dundeel and 1 by Not A Single Doubt. Dynamic Syndications purchased four (4) yearlings this season by stallions that stand at Arrowfield Stud.

Williamsburg completes Baillieu-Fernhill double for Snitzel

The Gerald Ryan and Sterling Alexiou-trained Williamsburg (Snitzel) is likely to back up in the Gr1 Champagne S. next Saturday after an impressive victory in the Listed Fernhill Mile. he colt became the first two-year-old in more than 20 years to add the Fernhill Handicap (Listed, 1600m) to his win in the T L Baillieu Handicap (Gr 3, 1400m) two weeks ago. Ridden by Kerrin McEvoy, Williamsburg took the Fernhill Handicap by a length and a quarter on Moko (Impending) with Russian Roni (Russian Revolution) five lengths from the winner in third. No Doubt About Ability of 3YO Filly Dignified Doubt for Maher and Eustace

Race 2 at Kyneton on Thursday saw an impressive resumption from a spell of the very impressive winner DIGNIFIED DOUBT (3yo filly) who was strong through the line in a Hygain Set Weights Maiden Plate over 1218m for her trainers Ciaron Maher and David Eustace. Heading to the post as a $2.10 favourite in a field of 9 runners after scratching, with stable rider John Allen up on top, Dignified Doubt had drawn barrier 8 of 9 runners but the awkward draw made no difference to the result.
