The brilliant victory by Revelare in the Group 3 Archer Stakes at Flemington has reignited discussion around one of the most admired – yet still curiously under-rated – stallions in Australia: SO YOU THINK.
The dual Cox Plate hero is now a 19-year-old and shows no signs of slowing down in the breeding barn.
His fertility remains strong, and his progeny continue to shine across Australia and New Zealand.

REVELARE winning the Gr3 Archer Stakes at Flemington
Revelare’s Cup-qualifying win – his eighth from just eleven starts – pushed SO YOU THINK to third on the general sires’ table this season, sitting just behind Snitzel (deceased) and Zoustar.
That result added to an already hot run. Within the past week, SO YOU THINK has sired metro winners in Sydney and Melbourne and his tally of city winners continues to climb for the season, and the flow of stakes winners shows no sign of easing.
Across his career, SO YOU THINK has already produced 12 Group 1 winners – from Everest hero Think About It, tough middle-distance stars like Think It Over and Knight’s Order, plus mares such as Nimalee and Nakeeta Jane. His strike rate of stakes winners sits comfortably near six percent of runners, and in New Zealand his record is staggering – 10 stakes winners from just 55 runners.
Despite these figures, his current fee sits at just $44,000, down from $77,000 a year ago, because he isn’t typically seen as a source of precocious two-year-olds. But as his runners prove time and again, what they may lack in early fireworks they more than make up for in toughness, longevity and class.
Coolmore’s Colm Santry recently called him “an amazing stallion” who is consistently underrated.

Ask industry insiders who the most under appreciated sire in Australia is, and the majority still point to SO YOU THINK.
Dynamic Syndications Managing Director and long-time bloodstock agent Dean Watt could not agree more.
Dean’s enthusiasm for SO YOU THINK is unashamedly effusive.
“We absolutely love the SO YOU THINK progeny,” Dean said.
“I’ve been buying horses for nearly 40 years, and I can honestly say they are close to the perfect horse for the Australian marketplace. They’ve got the scope, they’ve got the temperament, they’ve got the constitution. They’re sound, they’re tough, and they just keep racing on season after season. For me, that’s exactly what owners want.”
Dean points out that for every Australian owner, the SO YOU THINK progeny tick every box.
“They’re eligible for the lucrative BOBS bonus prizemoney here in NSW, which is a huge factor for our syndicate members. But beyond that, they are generally the kind of horses that give mums and dads exactly what they want out of ownership – durability, honesty, and the chance to win serious prizemoney over a number of years. You simply can’t ask for more.”
The admiration borders on a love affair. “I’ve had a lot of stallions I’ve rated highly over the years, but SO YOU THINK is one that really has me hooked. We go out of our way to buy his progeny because we know what they’re going to deliver for our clients.
He’s just a sensational sire, and I honestly believe he’s still under appreciated in the market. That’s where the opportunities present – we can buy incredible types with high class pedigrees, and we can buy these horses by him at tremendous value.”
At Dynamic Syndications, we are excited about one of the most appealing colts we have ever syndicated –
A son of SO YOU THINK out of the Exceed And Excel mare SULTAH, to be trained by champion horseman Ciaron Maher.

Our Colt by SO YOU THINK x SULTAH
This colt is the embodiment of everything Dean admires about the sire line.

SULTAH - Dam of 7 foals to race = 7 winners including our 2yo Colt
Whilst the Dam SULTAH was a sharp, talented race mare and at stud she has produced 7 winners from 7 foals to race providing 22 race wins among them.
Vitally important is among these 7 winners, SULTAH is the Dam of 2 Stakes Winners: TARAAYEF and HAYBAH plus Stakes Placegetter MURAAHIB and a winning daughter named GHENWAA who has produced recent Gr1 Winner TASHI, and Dynamic Syndications own stakes performed mare and winner of 5 races named RAPT.

It is a page that blends proven speed and stamina –

the perfect match for SO YOU THINK.

Our Colt under Saddle
If he does what is hoped of him by page and type, he could develop into a tremendous stallion prospect.

Educated by Shane Rose

and soon to be under Ciaron Maher’s eye at Randwick, the colt has already shown the attitude and athleticism that give us great confidence about his future.

Dean & Adam Watt - Dynamic Syndications
As Dean puts it, “Every time a SO YOU THINK wins another feature race, it just reinforces everything we already know. They are world-class horses that thrive in the Australian system. As far as I’m concerned, you can’t have too many of them in the stable. This colt out of SULTAH is everything I love about the breed rolled into one package.”
This is a colt we are keen to see our loyal VIP Owners, family and friends race together in co-ownership as a way to finish the year with a bang.
