Our filly was purchased by
Dynamic Syndications specifically for the stables of
Peter and Paul Snowden, as the boys were keen to have some precocious early coming 2yo types in their stables. Our filly certainly appears to be every bit of that.
By Boom Sire SNITZEL – A Gr1 winning son of
REDOUTE’S CHOICE, Snitzel is the Current Leading Sire in Australia for the 2013-14 Racing Season.
The Arrowfield Stud based sire is achieving remarkable success with
93.3% Runners: Earners, 74.0% Runners Winners and 14.4% Runners: Black Type Horses. His
18 Stakes Winners to date include Gr1 Winners
SIZZLING and this season’s Cox Plate Winner –
SHAMUS AWARD.
Our filly is from the
CANNY LAD mare
SANTA AURELIA.
The dam is a full sister to Stakes Performers
CANNYOPRA and
GENIOSO, whilst her dam
SALISOPRA is a multiple Group 1 performer.
Each of the first 4 dams in her pedigree has performed as a 2yo.
Bred on the successful
Danehill / Biscay cross which has produced
112 Stakes Winners including 14 Gr1 Winners and with a pedigree rating score at
A+ 794% Q7, this strong and athletic filly has the genetic backing to match her faultless conformation.
Canny Lad is an outstanding Broodmare Sire with well over
750 winners,
61 Stakes Winners and
44 Stakes Placegetters to date. Interestingly
24 of these stakes winners (
40%) are by
Danehill line sire, which is the sireline of
Snitzel.
However the
biggest buzz we could have is to be associated again with
Peter and Paul Snowden. We had a lot of success together when we had yearlings trained in the Ingham Bloodstock stables and were delighted for Peter that he became the Darley Head Trainer but as a result, Peter was unable to train outside horses.
