HONOR IN WAR - USA Import sensationally beats Aussie Champ TAKEOVER TARGET

Dynamic Syndications in 2007 imported and syndicated an American based racehorse to have a campaign targeting the Cox Plate and Caulfield Cup. On the morning of the 2007 Cox Plate HONOR IN WAR was sensationally scratched by the Stewards based upon a blood irregularity based upon veterinary products used in the USA. The preparation was aborted and he horse returned to work targeting the 2008 AJC VILLIERS Gr2 as his main ambition.

HONOR IN WAR and TAKEOVER TARGET fought out a sterling finish and in a heads up and down photo Takeover Target was first past the post by a pimple. However over the last 150m the rider of Takeover Target had shifted ground when that horse was under pressure interfering with the rightful run of HONOR IN WAR. We lodged a protest believing the interference cost us victory. The Stewards took evidence and agreed the interference was significant enough to alter the placings and HONOR IN WAR was awarded the race on protest. The the punters sentimental favourite had been beaten by Dynamic's imported USA raider.

HONOR IN WAR was retired to stud shortly afterwards.

Photo finishes can be deceiving - HONOR IN WAR (outside green colours) looked first past the post
but the developed print showed otherwise.
