Sixth 2yo Winner for First-Season Sire EPAULETTE

Epaulette’s son Military Zone defeated his $1,000,000 yearling stablemate Lion's Head in a 1200 metre maiden at Newcastle on Saturday, recording Epaulette’s sixth first-crop winner.

Only Spirit of Boom (18) and Zoustar (9) have sired more winners in the battle for First Season Sire’s honours.
 
Bred by Two Bays Farm, Military Zone was offered under the Three Bridges draft at the 2017 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale.

Dynamic Syndications purchased an Epaulette filly last year who is named LOVING HEART trained by Gai and Adrian and she has shown above average ability in training to date.
 
We were so impressed with LOVING HEART when in early training that we went back to the well and purchased another exciting yearling by Epaulette this year.



Our EPAULETTE x FROMELLES (NZ) Filly
 
Our latest Inglis Classic addition is this fabulous filly from FROMELLES (NZ) (a daughter of Champion NZ based sire SAVABEEL).

She was a Group 3 winner who won 6 races from 1340m to 2200m including the Rotorua Cup Gr3 and WRC Trentham Cup and ran 4th in the Hawkes’s Bay Gold Cup Gr3.

Our filly is just her second foal.
 
FROMELLES (NZ) is a daughter of Group 1 placed UNEARTHED.
 
Unearthed won 2 races at 1400m, 1600m and was Gr1 placed in the New Zealand One Thousand Guineas (1600m).
 
These mares are direct descendants of the awesome racemare REGAL EXCEPTION, 2 wins at 2000m, 2413m, including the  Irish Oaks Gr1, 2nd English Oaks Gr1 and 4th in the Longchamp Prix de I’Arc de Triomphe Gr1.
 
The brilliant job SAVABEEL is doing at stud as a sire is rapidly crossing over into a role as a Broodmare Sire with his daughters now starting to produce their own runners he is off to a flying start from limited numbers with 53 individual winners including 6 Stakes Horses: ITS TIME FOR MAGIC, STELLA DI PACO, Crown Him, Pipiana, Berkshire Lady and Salubrious.
 
The breeding cross of our filly is COMMANDS (a son of Danehill) over SAVABEEL (a son of Zabeel)
