Leading Hunter Valley thoroughbred nursery EMIRATES PARK STUD and DYNAMIC SYNDICATIONS have for a long period held a close working relationship which has developed into a genuine friendship between the three principals of these organisations, Emirates Park boss; His Excellency Nasser Lootah ; their Director of Operations Dr Shalabh Sahu and Dynamic Syndications Managing Director Dean Watt.
His Excellency Nasser Lootah - Owner of Emirates Park Stud (above)
Dean Watt Dynamic Syndications & Dr. Shalabh Sahu
Director of Operations Emirates Park Stud (above)
A tremendous honour was recently bestowed upon Dynamic Syndications when His Excellency graciously offered our company a unique opportunity to reward our existing clients.
Dynamic Syndications shall, under a Lease which is registered with Racing NSW, race this exciting high quality thoroughbred filly which had been personally selected and retained by His Excellency with the view of him to race and then add these to their broodmare band upon their racetrack retirement.
Each year His Excellency retains between 15-20 of his well bred yearlings to race in his own right.
Our arrangement with Emirates Park Stud is simple:
Emirates Park effective from 1 August 2010, has offered Dynamic Syndications the opportunity to select a high quaility now 2yo filly from this year's group of fifteen (15) fillies His Excellency’s had retained.
We selected this filly which has been leased to Dynamic Syndications for our professional management for a maximum fixed period of 3 years from 1/8/10 to expire no later than 31 July 2013.
Terms of the Lease are:
(for a full breakdown of the Lease Agreement refer to our Financial Statement and Syndicate Lease Deed)
A) Emirates Park offers the filly to Dynamic Syndications who creates a registered syndicate with Racing NSW. We will invite clients or associates to join with us to form a ten (10) member syndicate thus allowing Dynamic clients to race that horse with us.
Each syndicate member will get their name in the racebook and full raceday privileges as entitled with full ownership privileges.
B) Syndicate members are required (the same as would be expected if it was full ownership) to meet 100% of the ongoing horse husbandry and management expenses from the 1st August 2010 monthly in arrears as per their registered syndicate membership percentage and as per the standard terms and conditions (which would apply equally as if it was full ownership). All syndicate members are liable to meet their own expenses. No syndicate member is liable for any other third party’s debt.
C) Additional to the standard monthly charges there will be a once only upfront administration entry fee levied by Dynamic Syndications to each member to join the syndicate of $110 inc GST.
D) Prizemoney Distribution: Syndicate members will receive a combined total of 50% of the Gross Prizemoney earned. No dollar value will be allocated to the lease for the advertised value of any trophies. Of the balancing 50%, the distribution shall be: Emirates Park will receive 33% of the gross prizemoney earned by each individual horse as a Rental Fee during the 3 year period. As per statutory requirements under the Australian Rules of Racing, the Trainer shall receive 10% gross prizemoney earned and Jockey 5% gross prizemoney earned. Dynamic Syndications will receive 2% of the gross prizemoney earned as a Success Fee during the 3 year period.
E) Prizemoney will be deposited into the syndicate’s designated Dynamic Syndications Trust Account and distributed within 21 days of receipt of cleared funds into that Trust Account. Where applicable any BOBS entitlements won by the syndicate horse will be taken as cash only and not in the form of double up vouchers.
F) At any stage and for whatever reason throughout the 3 year term of the lease, at the expiry of one month’s written notice to the lessor Emirates Park Stud by the lessee (Dynamic Syndication as administration manager), the lease may be terminated without penalty. Such a decision will be duly considered in consultation with each syndicate member and then determined by the Administration Manager to be in the best interests as per the syndicate majority. The syndicate on expiry or early termination of the lease is to return the thoroughbred subject to each lease to Emirates Park Stud at Murrurundi NSW. The termination will be subject to Terms and Conditions of our Disclosure Document and Syndicate Deed specifically created for this lease.
G) Incurred establishment costs from the 1st August 2010 to 31st October 2010 will be levied per syndicate member equally upon entry and disbursed separately pro rata over the first 3 months of commencement of the lease period. This is to assist in the cashflow of all syndicate members. Such establishment fees shall include Breaking-In, BOBS entry fee, Professional Indemnity Insurance, Racing NSW Statutory Cost, Veterinary Inspection, Transport to Oakridge Spelling Farm, Horse Husbandry holding costs and any other miscellaneous costs. A breakdown of these costs are located in the Disclosure document.
H) Syndicate members are not locked into the full 3 year term. Any member may withdraw from the lease independently of all other syndicate members for whatever reason during the 3 year term by: (a) Giving 30 days written notice (b) Meeting all their outstanding debts to the expiry of the 30 days written notice (c) Payment of an early exit penalty fee of $275 inc GST on the expiry of the 30 days written notice.
I) All syndicate members must meet their accounts to industry suppliers within 30 days. Accounts are considered in default at day 92 and syndicates members who remain overdue on their accounts at 92 days will automatcially forfeit their syndicate membership and remain liable for their accrued debt.
J) These Lease arrangements are created only for clients & associates of Dynamic Syndications and are not made available to members of the public in compliance with the Corporations Act. Racing Leases do not receive relief under Class Order 02/319. Racing NSW as a result does not accept receipt of any Product Disclosure Statements for Lease syndicates. Therefore Racing Leases do not fall under the role of Racing NSW acting in a Lead Regulator capacity.
No Capital Outlay = Keep your cash in your bank !
No Capital Risk = Just meet the costs as they incur monthly in arrears !
Dynamic clients will gain access to high quality, high value racehorses personally retained by His Excellency for his private collection.
Unfortunately there is no ownership = The horse must be returned to Emirates Park Stud at the latest on expiry date of the registered lease. However if the horse is racing well, His Excellency will discuss the opportunity for the syndicate to extend the lease for an additional 12 months.
Syndicate members will receive 50% of the prizemoney won as opposed to a standard 83% when under standard Dynamic Syndication ownership.
However please remember this ! 50% prizemoney of a top class racehorse is always better than 83% prizemoney if the horse has limited ability – Simply 50% of a lot is always better than 83% of a little ! Especially when you don't spend your capital to buy in at the front end !
FREQUENTLY ASKED Q & A:
What if something goes wrong ? The lease may be Cancelled
What if the horse displays below average ability ? The lease may be Cancelled
What if the horse suffers an injury requiring long term recuperation ? The lease may be Cancelled
What if expensive veterinary treatment is required ? The lease may be Cancelled
How Do We Cancel The Lease ? Simple – On behalf of the syndicate with 30 days written notice Dynamic Syndications as Administration Manager after consultation with the syndicate members and having received a majority vote shall advise Emirates Park that the lease is to be terminated as subject to the terms of the Disclosure Statement and Syndicate Deed .
What about if YOU or ANY OTHER SYNDICATE MEMBER wants to get out but the majority wish to keep going ? Easy – there is a member’s independent early exit opportunity* (*Conditions apply - See Disclosure Document & Syndicate Deed)
Save Money on Insurance - No need to pay mortality insurance premiums because we don’t own the horse. This is the responsibility of the Lessor Emirates Park Stud.
What About Major Veterinary Expenses ? Simple - They Won’t / Can't Exist - Why ? If something major does go wrong, Emirates Park Stud will pay for any major surgery on the horse. Our clients are not exposed to this risk. We have a specific clause in the agreement which can cancel the lease immediately should an emergency surgery situation develop requiring major surgery thus ensuring our clients do not incur this cost. Alternatively if something goes wrong and the horse is out of action for a long time – we can also cancel the lease and avoid the costs associated with the operation and recuperation.

ABOUT EMIRATES PARK STUD
The two-state Emirates Park operation is the vision of His Excellency Nasser Lootah, a Dubai-based businessman introduced to Australian thoroughbred racing and breeding during the mid-eighties.
His Excellency Nasser Lootah’s initial venture into the Australian thoroughbred industry was his purchase of the long established thoroughbred property located in the historic township of Blandford near Scone in the Hunter Valley. Previously known as Blandford Park Stud, the property had its named changed to Emirates Park Stud. The property has been the home to a succession of successful stallions including Twig Moss (Fr), the Champion Sire of Australia in 1985/86.
The Emirates Park operation then became a two-state outfit when His Excellency later purchased the famed Stockwell Stud property at Diggers Rest, Victoria. Stockwell Stud once housed Showdown (GB), a hugely successful imported stallion which proved to be the leading sire in Australia in seasons 1975/76 and 1977/78, producing the STC Golden Slipper Stakes winner Tontonan among a host of top-liners.
In a short space of time, Emirates Park has gained a reputation for breeding outstanding racetrack performers which have not only distinguished themselves in the red, blue and white silks of His Excellency Nasser Lootah, but also for a host of owners based both locally and overseas.
These include the likes of Shamekha, Dash For Cash, Elegant Fashion, County Tyrone and Theseo. All these racehorses which were conceived, foaled and reared at the stud before triumphing at the highest level of thoroughbred competition.
Currently the two stud operation stands the following stallions:
Danewin, Mutaawajid, Eavesdropper, Al Samer, Al Maher, Wiley Trader, Old Deutoromony.
His Excellencecy has produced yearlings at the elite level for many years. In 2008 he sold a colt for $1.9m whilst in 2009 he sold a colt for $1.8m which topped the Australian Yearling Markets.
Dr. Sahu who controls Emirates Park Stud is renowned throughout the Australian thoroughbred industry for his integrity, horse husbandry skills and his thoroughbred business acumen.
Emirates Park Stud is a trusted name for producing elite thoroughbreds based on the fertile land in the NSW Hunter Valley.

A PROVEN NICK :
NICK = SUCCESS RATE
Her Genetics – Bred to a "PROVEN NICK"
Genetically – she’s bred to be outstanding. When we went to the sales we were looking first and foremost for the individual. She had to be an equine athlete. It’s an incredible set of coincidences until you analyse the statistics and then the old proverb rings true again
"THE APPLE DOES NOT ROLL FAR FROM THE TREE"
So, it makes sense to :
KEEP DRILLING WHERE YOU STRIKE OIL
KEEP DIGGING WHERE YOU FIND GOLD
Full report of on this pedigree is located in the documents section at the top of this webpage.
PEDIGREE NOTES – It’s all in the genes !
Given the racetrack ability of the Sire and Dam and the concentration of Danehill over Volksraad which is a proven cross of elite racetrack individuals, it is not surprising to see that the Danehill line at stud is enjoying a successful cross with this Volksraad (by Green Desert) line mares.
Whichever set of statistical data you choose to accept for information flow, it remains constant – Simply, on pedigree this is an exceptionally good mating with a significantly increased opportunity to produced an above average racehorse.
Since we have matched the pedigree to this individual's excellent conformation and athleticism, we are convinced this horse represents a wonderful equine opportunity in a quality thoroughbred.
"Whilst there can never be any guarantees in thoroughbred breeding and this individualy would be no exception to that fact, the reality is that we would always rather take advantage of sets of statistics that are weighted heavily in our favour than to lease horses bred to be only average in the first instance and then have to pray for a miracle".

ABOUT AL MAHER (DANEHILL ex SHOW DANCING)
With young stock by Danehill no longer available, buyers are looking to horses such as his son Al Maher as a means of keeping alive the great stallion’s influence. Not overtaxed during his racing career by owners’ Emirates Park Stud, he retired after sustaining a racing injury facing the starter at just his 11th racetrack visit.
Al Maher stepped out twice as a juvenile and remained undefeated. And another nine times during his classic year when he developed into a one of the best miler’s of his generation. Al Maher was best suited to firm turf surfaces and won three races during his classic season including the Group I VRC Australian Guineas, a race that appears on Zabeel, Pins and Flying Spur’s resume as well.
The good-looking son of Danehill had a stamp of quality and he immediately appealed to breeders both on conformation as well as being a three-quarter-brother in blood to Redoute's Choice (also by Danehill).
Al Maher is from Show Dancing (Don't Say Halo) a daughter of the influential producer Dancing Show, who is by Nijinsky who was hailed as Northern Dancer’s best racehorse son. Dancing Show is the dam of the proven sires Umatilla and Hurricane Sky and her daughter Shantha's Choice, who in turn is the dam of Redoute's Choice, Platinum Scissors, Sliding Cube, Monsoon Wedding and Superior Sateen.
Al Maher’s great grandam is one of the all time great matriarchs, Best In Show (by Traffic Judge), who has a world-wide legacy through the Group One winners Blush With Pride (by Blushing Groom), winner of the Churchill Downs Kentucky Oaks and Santa Anita Susana Stakes and the dam of the stakes winning Smolensk (by Danzig) and Better Than Honour (by Deputy Minister) who in turn is the dam of two grade one winners, the Belmont Stakes victor, Jazil (by Seeking The Gold) and the history making mare, Rags To Riches (by A P Indy), winner of the Grade I events the Belmont Stakes, Kentucky Oaks, Santa Anita Oaks and Las Virgenes Stakes.
Daughters of Best In Show have produced the Group I Longchamp Prix de la Salamandre and Dewhurst Stakes winner, Xaar (by Zafonic); Belmont Turf Classic Invitational, Hollywood Derby Manhattan Hcp and Whittingham Hcp victor Denon (by Pleasant Colony). The Nureyev duo Good Journey (winner of the Grade I Woodbine Atto Mile Stakes) and Spinning World (winner of the Group I Deauville Prix Jacques le Marois (twice), Prix du Moulin de Longchamp, Hollywood Park Breeders' Cup Mile and the Curragh Irish 2000 Guineas).
